Forming an MHF Partnership
with International Capacity Building

The Mental Health Facilitator (MHF) is based on a training of trainers (ToT) framework. This allows local community-based providers to receive training.

MHF training is based on three levels:


  • MHF master trainers are mental health professionals trained to deliver the MHF curriculum at multiple levels.
  • MHF trainers are local community members with some mental health expertise trained to deliver the curriculum to others.
  • MHFs are community members trained in the curriculum.

Types of Partnership


Potential partners can work with International Capacity Building on training in any and all versions of the available curricula.

However, you may find that a particular version is most appropriate for the needs of your community.
